Today is National Hot Dog Day, which means PrizePicks is feeling generous enough to offer us some discounted pitching props. Whenever a sportsbook or daily fantasy website offers a promotion, I am always looking to take advantage of it and so should you.

If you haven’t already signed up for PrizePicks, be sure to do so using code ‘ODDSJAM’ for a $100 deposit match. It’s the easiest money you’ll ever make!

Pick #1: Justin Verlander Over 5 Strikeouts

The promotional play we are going with for today is Verlander’s strikeout count, which has been reduced from 6.5 to 5. This is clearly a nice value play on the Mets’ ace, as strikeout props can be unpreditable and 1.5 can easily make the difference in winning and losing.

There are two other options for this promotion, those being Luis Castillo and Eduardo Rodriguez. Each of these pitchers has a reduced strikout prop, which is an excellent way to start off your sharp betting slip.

Pick #2: Pyosik Over 2.5 Map 1 Kills

We now move to eSports, where I have been finding insane value on all of the daily fantasy platforms in my area. This play was found via the OddsJam Fantasy Optimizer with some clear value.

Simply put, any pick in green on the Fantasy Optimizer is mathematically profitable. With this bet from Pyosik, we can see that PrizePicks is offering this line at 2.5, while Underdog and ParlayPlay have it at 3. By taking the over here, we’d cash our bet if he finishes with three kills, while the other bettors would only push.

Two of our other picks in this entry, Ragner and Shiganari, are on opposite teams. In League of Legends, you get positive correlation taking players on opposing teams (one to go over, one to go under).

Correlation is an interesting concept in sports betting. A simple example of positive correlation would be betting on both Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce’s over on receiving props. One benefits the other, so there’s a good chance they both win if one does. An example closer to his play here, would be betting on Patrick Mahomes’ over on passing yards against an over on fantasy score allowed by the Raiders defense.

I have a video breaking down correlation below:
