Happy Labor Day and hopefully there’s not as much rain where you are as there is here. Nonetheless, we have baseball to bet on so let’s dive into the sharpest MLB bets for Monday, September 5.
Minnesota Twins vs. New York Yankees
1:05 p.m. ET
We’ll start this one out with a bit of an anomaly. We sit at about -116 for this Over 8 total runs to hit. DraftKings has set their o/u at 8.5, with the over priced at +100. I’m going to take advantage of this all day long. Yes, we have to deal with the hook now, but, we’re gaining massive value on basically the same bet.
I’m trusting the numbers on this one. The sharpest strikeout prop books have this set at -150 or greater and BetMGM has this for -130. Feltner, to be completely transparent, has no idea what the word consistency means. However, he is always up against that 3-4 K number. I feel good about this one, so let’s roll with it.
Brewers vs. Rockies Pick: Ryan Feltner Over 3.5 Ks | -130 at BetMGM
Washington Nationals vs. St. Louis Cardinals
4:15 p.m. ET
The Cardinals should dominate in this spot against the Nationals. They are the better team through and through. I used OddsJam to find the best price on the Cardinals spread, but I didn’t need to see the odds to know I was hammering this bet.
Nationals vs. Cardinals Pick: St. Louis Cardinals -1.5 | -108 at BetRivers
Boston Red Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays
4:10 p.m. ET
Michael Wacha has gone over 3.5 Ks 70% of the time in his last 10 games. Even better, most of the books have this over priced near -190, but BetMGM has it at -165. I would love for this to be closer to -130, but I cannot ignore the value here.
Red Sox vs. Rays Pick: Michael Wacha Over 3.5 Ks | -165 at BetMGM
