Thursday Night Football

49ers (-3.5) vs. Seahawks

Thursday, Dec. 15 | 8:15 p.m. ET

At some point, the 49ers injuries have to catch up with them, right? After losing starting QB Jimmy Garoppolo for the season two weeks ago, WR Deebo Samuel went down this last week with an ankle injury. It is unknown how much time he will miss, but that is another huge injury for the 49ers to overcome.

With that said, they looked dominant last week, shredding the Bucs, and specifically rookie QB Brock Purdy looked fantastic as well.

I have a tough time with this one, but with a division rivalry game being played in Seattle, I like the cushion of getting a field goal.

49ers vs. Seahawks Pick: Seahawks +3.5 | -114 at FanDuel

Saturday NFL Slate

Colts vs. Vikings (-4.5)

Saturday, Dec. 17 | 1 p.m. ET

All three of the Vikings losses have been by multiple scores, while nine of their 10 wins have come by one score. Despite being 10-3, the Vikings have a negative point differential.

With that said, the Vikings are the play in this one. They might still win by one score, but more likely by seven points than three points. The Colts have now lost three straight after a good start under Jeff Saturday, including a 54-19 drubbing to the Cowboys the last game the Colts played.

Colts vs. Vikings Pick: Vikings -4 | -110 at BetMGM

Ravens vs. Browns (-3)

Saturday, Dec. 17 | 4:30 p.m. ET

The poor Ravens might be on their third-string QB in this game, after losing their quarterback in back-to-back games. Two weeks ago Lamar Jackson went down and is out for at least a couple weeks, and then last week Tyler Huntley got hurt as well.

Not every team is the 49ers and can survive losing two quarterbacks, so I’ll lay the points with the Browns.

Ravens vs. Browns Pick: Browns -3 | -107 at PointsBet

Dolphins vs. Bills (-7.5)

Saturday, Dec. 17 | 8:15 p.m. ET

Two weeks ago, the Dolphins found themselves leaders of the AFC East, tied with the Bills at 8-3. But the Dolphins have lost two straight while the Bills won both of their games, so now the Dolphins find themselves in desperate need of a win in order to have any hopes of winning the division.

The Dolphins offense looked as bad as they have all season last week against the Chargers, but 7.5 points is still too much in a division rivalry game, especially since we haven’t quite seen the Bills look as dominant recently as they were at the beginning of the season.

Dolphins vs. Bills Pick: Dolphins +7.5 | -110 at Caesars

Early Sunday NFL Slate

Steelers vs. Panthers (-2.5)

Sunday, Dec. 18 | 1 p.m. ET

Don’t look now, but the Panthers have a legitimate chance of winning the AFC South. They have won three of four and are only a game back of the Bucs for the division lead, with still a game to go against the Bucs as well.

The Steelers, meanwhile, had their hot streak end last week in a loss to the banged up Ravens. The Panthers, at home, stay hot in this one.

Steelers vs. Panthers Pick: Panthers -1.5 | -115 at FanDuel

Eagles (-8.5) vs. Bears

Sunday, Dec. 18 | 1 p.m. ET

The Eagles have looked absolutely dominant the past two weeks, beating the Titans and Giants in back-to-back weeks by a combined 51 points, scoring 35 and 48 points, respectively.

With that said, and I will probably regret this, I love the Bears to cover in this matchup. The Bears are fresh, coming off a bye last week, and have looked much better since they changed their offense to be more run-heavy with QB Justin Fields.

The Eagles also have a titanic matchup the following week against the Cowboys, so the guess here is they will be uncharacteristically sloppy in this one, looking ahead to Dallas.

Eagles vs. Bears Pick: Bears +9 | -110 at BetMGM

Chiefs (-14) vs. Texans

Sunday, Dec. 18 | 1 p.m. ET

The Texans were a resounding 17.5 point underdogs last week against the Cowboys, but legitimately should have won if they didn’t implode in the final minutes of the game.

Their reward? 14 point underdogs against the best offense in the NFL in the Chiefs. The Texans won’t play so well two weeks in a row.

Chiefs vs. Texans Pick: Chiefs -14 | -105 at DraftKings

Cowboys (-5.5) vs. Jaguars

Sunday, Dec. 18 | 1 p.m. ET

The Jaguars are a hard team to get a read on. Three weeks ago, they beat the Ravens in an impressive fourth quarter comeback victory, but then got blown out by the Lions 40-14 the following week. Last week, they were completely dominant in a victory over the reeling Titans.

The Cowboys, who had been blowing the doors off opponents prior to last weeks Texans game, were due for some sort of letdown. The expectation is they bounce back this week, as the Jags see-saw continues.

Cowboys vs. Jaguars Pick: Cowboys -4.5 | -110 at Caesars

Falcons vs. Saints (-4.5)

Sunday, Dec. 18 | 1 p.m. ET

These teams are mathematically still alive, but for all intents and purposes are dead for this season.

With that said, there is at least some intrigue in this matchup, as the Falcons will be starting rookie QB Desmond Ridder for the first time all season, but the expectations for him shouldn’t be sky high.

Falcons vs. Saints Pick: Saints -3.5 | -110 at BetMGM

Lions vs. Jets (-1)

Sunday, Dec. 18 | 1 p.m. ET

The Lions might be the hottest team in the NFL at this point, winners of five of six and coming off a relatively dominant performance against the Vikings last week.

The Jets lost a tough one to the Bills last week, a game in which QB Mike White left multiple times due to injury. He is currently listed as day-to-day, but was also hospitalized with that rib injury. Even if he plays, I can’t imagine he will be 100%, so I’ll take the points with the Lions

Lions vs. Jets Pick: Lions +1 | -115 at BetMGM

Late Afternoon Sunday Slate

Cardinals vs. Broncos (-2.5)

Sunday, Dec. 18 | 4:05 p.m. ET

It’s a battle between two of the saddest teams in the NFL. It is legitimately upsetting for the Cardinals seeing Kyler Murray go down with a torn ACL, but I am of the camp that Colt McCoy can actually be better for the offense as a whole because he runs the offense as it’s supposed to be run.

I also can’t for the life of me even think of laying even a field goal for this slop of a Broncos team.

Cardinals vs. Broncos Pick: Cardinals +3 | -115 at BetRivers

Patriots (-1) vs. Raiders

Sunday, Dec. 18 | 4:05 p.m. ET

The Raiders had a golden opportunity to improbably vault themselves back into the playoff race, but they blew a game in the worst way last week. They lost the Rams and Baker Mayfield (who had been a Ram for less than 48 hours) after blowing a 13 point lead in the fourth quarter.

With that said, I like them to bounce back this week against a Patriots team that just isn’t good.

Patriots vs. Raiders Pick: Raiders +1.5 | -115 at FanDuel

Chargers vs. Titans

Sunday, Dec. 18 | 4:25 p.m. ET

The Titans are reeling. They have lost three straight, the last two by a combined 41 points after getting blown out in back-to-back weeks by the Eagles and Jaguars, respectively.

The Chargers, meanwhile, probably played their best game of the season (at least defensively) last week taking down the Dolphins. With that said, I’m not quite ready to buy the Chargers, who have mostly been a disappointment all year, or kill the Titans, who have shown an impressive ability to bounce back under head coach Mike Vrabel.

Chargers vs. Titans Pick: Titans +3 | -107 at PointsBet

Bengals (-3.5) vs. Buccaneers

Sunday, Dec. 18 | 4:25 p.m. ET

The Bucs were down 28-0 at halftime against a 49ers team on their third-string QB, and ended up losing 35-7.

Now, they get the red-hot Bengals coming to town, winners of five straight, and seven of eight. The only reason why this spread is as low as it is, is because of the name value of Tom Brady. This Bucs team stinks.

Bengals vs. Bucs Pick: Bengals -3.5 | -107 at PointsBet

Sunday Night Football

Giants vs. Commanders (-4.5)

Sunday, Dec. 18 | 8:20 p.m. ET

This is probably the worst game in NFL history that features team teams with seven wins and winning records in early December. The Giants, after their hot start, are 1-4-1 in their last six games, while the Commanders are on a hot streak since the injury and subsequent benching of Carson Wentz and replacing him with Taylor Heinicke.

With that said, despite the overall team success, Heinicke is more a gritty and tough player than he is actual good NFL quarterback. He is a 29 year old journeyman QB for a reason.

Although, that should be plenty to take down these Giants, despite only managing a tie when these two teams played two weeks ago.

Giants vs. Commanders Pick: Commanders -4.5 | -106 at FanDuel

Monday Night Football

Rams vs. Packers (-7)

Monday, Dec. 19 | 8:15 p.m. ET

Boy, these two teams have fallen far. Who would have thought this December matchup would feature two teams with losing records, and a combined record of 9-15.

Seven points is just too much for this Packers team, though, as the Rams have been frisky these past two weeks, including a victory over the Raiders with Baker Mayfield last week.

Rams vs. Packers Pick: Rams +7.5 | -110 at FanDuel
