Risk-Free Money on Packers vs. Bears: Arbitrage Opportunity on Aaron Jones

Welcome to football season! I’m so pumped for our first FULL weekend

One of my favorite ways to make money every football season is through arbitrage betting, because if done properly it’s literally risk-free money.

Sportsbooks set odds independently. They all have different odds, and sometimes they make mistakes. Sometimes these mistakes are so big that you can bet on equal & opposite outcomes on 2 sportsbooks and make a risk-free profit. That’s arbitrage. You’re essentially day-trading mistakes on sportsbooks to make a risk-free profit.

Here’s an example of an arbitrage bet…

Bet #1: Aaron Jones Over 0.5 Touchdowns | +160 at DraftKings

Bet #2: Aaron Jones Under 0.5 Touchdowns | -140 at Fliff

Here’s a major discrepancy between DraftKings and Fliff. Arbitrage opportunities like this are extremely rare across the market considering how many odds are offered.

A tiny percentage of total markets have arbitrage opportunities, but the OddsJam Arbitrage tool can find all of them for you, and shows dozens of opportunities at any given time.

Take a look at the tool below for this example:

As you can see in the screenshot, DraftKings and Fliff are both offering completely different lines here.

DraftKings is all the way up at +160 while most of the market is in the +130 range. Fliff is a massive outlier at -105, with only -140 on him not to score a touchdown.

That sets up the arbitrage opportunity for us to make risk-free profit no matter if he scores or not.

The max bet size on Fliff is $250, so I plugged that into the arbitrage calculator on the tool next to the bet.

The calculator spit out $164.84, which brings my total stake across the two bets to $414.84. No matter what happens, my return is $428.57, setting up a risk-free profit of $13.74.

Arbitrage bets like these are how I made my first 40k sports betting. Arbitrage is rare, but OddsJam is updating millions of odds every second to point out these risk-free money opportunities when books’ lines get super out of sync with one another.
