How to Sign Up For Underdog Fantasy

What is Underdog Fantasy?

Underdog Fantasy is one of the Daily Fantasy Sports sites that is legal in many states where sportsbooks like Caesars, DraftKings, and FanDuel are not. Best of all, with promo code ‘ODDSJAM’ you can get a first deposit match up to $100. That’s a free $100 to help get your bankroll off to a good start.

It’s a little different from classic sportsbooks in that each Pick’Em entry is made up of a combination of player props where you select if the player will go higher or lower than the line.

For example, a prop to include in an entry may be if Aaron Judge will go higher or lower than 1.5 total bases in a given game.

How to Sign Up for Underdog Fantasy

Signing up for Underdog is simple and can be done in just a couple of minutes.

Start by choosing a username made up of numbers and letters. It can be related to your full name or a fun username you like to go by, it doesn’t matter. Just note that in order to deposit and especially withdraw, you will have to have your true identification verified. Don’t worry, since Underdog is legal and highly regulated, it is a safe and simple process.

Next, enter your email address. Be sure it’s an email address you currently have access to as you will need it throughout the process of making money on Underdog.

After that, choose a safe and secure password and enter your birthday.

The final step is to enter promo code ‘ODDSJAM’ to claim your first deposit match up to $100.

How does Underdog Work?

Underdog has several different payout structures depending on how many props are included in your entry. You may also choose whether or not to insure your entry, which means less payout if everything wins but a smaller payout if just one leg loses. Here’s a breakdown of the payout structures:

Non-Insured

Number of Props in EntryNon-Insured
23x ($10 stake pays $30)
36x ($10 stake pays $60)
410x ($10 stake pays $100)
520x ($10 stake pays $200)

Insured

Number of Props in EntryAll WinExactly One Loses
33x ($10 stake pays $30)1x ($10 stake pays $10)
46x ($10 stake pays $60)1.5x ($10 stake pays $15)
510x ($10 stake pays $100)2.5x ($10 stake pays $25)

Note that the payout includes your stake. So a 10x payout with $10 paying out $100 means $90 of profit.

How to Make Money on Underdog

Simply put, to profit long-term on Underdog you need to be winning individual props at a higher rate than the implied odds.

Essentially, a 3x payout is equivalent to +200 odds. So you need to find three props to parlay together that have a true value lower than +200 odds. That number is -122. To profit long-term, your Underdog props for two-leg entries with 3x payouts MUST have a higher probability of hitting than -122.

Here’s a full breakdown for every entry type:

Entry TypeImplied Odds to Beat
Two-leg non-insured-136
Three-leg non-insured-137
Three-leg insured-122
Four-leg non-insured-123
Four-leg insured-128
Five-leg non-insured-122
Five-leg insured-120

As you can see, the best entry type to win in the long run is five-leg insured. At -120 odds, we’re able to find a lot more profitable props than if we have to beat -137.

I’ve made a ton of money off Underdog, so be sure to watch this video breaking down how.

The reason I’m able to find so many profitable bets is because of the OddsJam Fantasy Optimizer. The screen not only shows Underdog, but can also be filtered to show profitable bets on PrizePicks, No House Advantage, ParlayPlay, Jock MKT, and Thrive.

If you are new to Underdog Fantasy (a PrizePicks competitor), then I recommend reading this betting strategy article. Almost always, it is mathematically optimal to place “three-pick” and “five-pick” entries on Underdog Fantasy. I rarely give out plays that do not have three or five picks. Two-pick entries are a surefire way to lose money on this DFS platform.
